About Me

Hello, my name is Treston Russell, and I am currently a junior double majoring in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Aeronautical Engineering Technology (AET). I intend on graduating with both bachelor degrees in the spring of 2022. I am also currently in Air Force Reserved Officer Training Corps (AFROTC), and expect to commission as a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) pilot in the U.S. Air Force after graduating. My passion for aviation rooted from the space industry first. I was interested in SpaceX along with automated systems. I then heard of a space project in the works that is putting an unmanned aircraft in space to analyze Titan, the largest of Saturn's moons. Advancements in technology like this drive me to learn more about drone technology along with military grade technology. I aspire to work in R&D for unmanned systems in space like the Dragonfly, after I finish serving in the Air Force. Thank you.
